Day 5: Golden Memories

It’s day 5 of Blogmas: Five Golden Memories
I’m linking up again with The Petite Mrs and The Coastie Couple.

Christmas is my favorite time of year!  I love celebrating our saviors birth, being with loved ones, parties, the food is about the best you get all year, I love the Christmas rush, Christmas music everywhere, I could just go on and on but I will spare you.  I have some great memories from past Christmas’, which makes it so hard to narrow it down to 5, but I will.  🙂

1- As a child my mom made the BEST stockings.  They were always the last thing my sister and I opened.  She would pack them full!  You couldn’t fit anything else in them.  She always had our favorite candy, usually something like gloves or socks, an apple and orange, some small toys or as we got older she would put our jewelry gifts in it too.

2- My mom always made chocolate no bake cookies just about every Christmas.  They were one of our favorite treats.

3- My first Christmas with just my husband and I, our first Christmas as a family with our oldest daughter was great and as a family of four were all so special to me.

4- I love the memories we create each year as we decorate our Christmas tree and put decorations out. It’s something I loved doing as a child and enjoy doing with my family.

5- My sister and I would wake up early on Christmas morning when it was still dark outside and would want to tear into our presents and our parents would make us wait til 7am, haha.

Those are 5 of my golden memories. Its hard to only pick 5! What Christmas memories do you treasure?
