One of my favorite parties that I have done for my girls would be an M&M party. When my oldest was 3 years old she decided that’s what kind of party she wanted. I’m not sure where the idea came from. I guess she just loved M&M’s so much she had to have her party in them. At the time it was so hard to find anything with M&M’s on it. So, I had to come up with how to do it on my own.
I was able to find this piece of fabric from Wal-Mart for $6. I ordered it online and had it sent to the store. It was perfect for a birthday party. Even though it was fabric I hung it as a decoration, I think it looked pretty good.
I cut out circles in the traditional M&M colors and M’s in white with my cricut machine and then glued them together to look like M&M’s. I placed them everywhere!
It would be easy to cut circles by hand and take a white marker, stickers or paint and do them like this too.
Also, if you made larger ones they could be place mats for the kids table or smaller ones could be cupcake toppers.
I took some string and taped the back of the M’s to the sting and made a couple banners.
Since she was turning 3 years old I decided to make a 3 cake and put M’s all over it. I made the cake using 2 bundt pans and cut a section out of each one and then connected them.
Since it was an M&M party there had to be M&M’s, right? We had plain, peanut and peanut butter in bowls for the guests to enjoy.
We used plain plates, cups, napkins and table covers in the same colors as M&M’s.
And all that matters in that the birthday girl was pleased!!
So I hope you enjoyed this M&M themed party. It was easy to put together and budget friendly too.
